I have an early 2013 MBPr Apple MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.7 15" Early 2013
and am looking for a 4k display.

I quite like this Samsung (Samsung UHD 28?€? Monitor (U28D590D) | Samsung Monitor) but am not sure if it will work with my machine or how I'd go about connecting it (thunderbolt to ?)
I know that 10.9.3 should help with the 60hz issue with 4k displays but am not sure if my machine will support 4k monitors too.

Thanks!

Thanks for the link, that's really disappointing that 4k is only supported on the latest iteration of the MBPr...will hold out to see if 10.9.3 brings support to my laptop, if not...not sure what I will do.

I'm curious why you would expect support to be found on older models when 4K resolution displays are a fairly recent item on the consumer market?
