For some reason, I am unable to email photos.

I have taken aphoto with my ipad.
I want to send it to my daughter-I call up the image and go to the icon in thebottom left hand corner a blue square eith anupward pointin arrow, then I go to mail.
A'page' with new message appears with the image in and i tyupe the address of the recipient and tap send.
I ahve also sent this to my selfa nd have received nothing!!

wha thave I done wrong?

What you wrote down is exactly how you do it so unless you are not connected to the internet via cellular or WI-FI there is no reason for it to not be received and also make sure you are typing in the correct email address.

You could tap "copy", then go to email and paste it to the email.

Go into your sent folder and see if it's there if not check the draft if you don't have a data connection it will show up there
