my iphone 5c will not send or recieve sms messages,the imessage feature says waiting for activation...how do i activate this and begin to revieve sms messages?

SMS activation is from your carrier .. If your carrier Is not active and you are not connected to wifi your iMessage will not activate until it has connection to data.
