    Unfortunately you can't read purchased books on a PC running Windows. You can only read them on a Mac running OSX Mavericks.
    There is a chrome extension that will let you read free iBooks, but it does not work with paid ones.

    You know as much as I am a fan of reading books on an iPad I would not be ashamed to say that i also have a Kindle Paperwhite that i love and I think you would love it if you give it a try. There are many people here that own them.
