    Hi
    I have just updated my pc with a new ssd drive. Before that I took a backup of my music/iTunes folder on my c:/ drive. My iTunes libery is stored on my NAS z:/iTunes/iTunes media.

    Now I have installed iTunes again and copied the music/iTunes back to c: but my iTunes I empty why??

    have you this original file in ur backups iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Library.xml

    Yes they are on my NAS which I haven't touched

    Yes the one from my pc c:/music/iTunes which I copied back after installed iTunes and then I iTunes settings I set my libery to my NAS z:/ iTunes/iTunes media

    This is only an opinion but one I would strongly consider. Let us assume you have everything for your iTunes library backed up on an external drive or your new computer, Give Apple support a call and tell them the issue with iTunes. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer and I am sure they will have you back again with your library in no time. Just a word of advice. Thank you.

    Hey guys
    I found the solution.
    Hold shift down while starting iTunes then choose libery. (My nas z:/iTunes/iTunes media) all fine and working again
