i phone 5 damage

ive just sent my Iphone 5 for repair due to cracked screen and water damage the company email me back and said it cant be repaired cause the water damage has shorted the mother board
is there anyway i can do this myself and what do i need to repair the phone ...

You will need to replace everything that was damaged by the water. I don't think you should attempt this unless you completely understand what you are going to do.

Get a new one.

For an iPhone 5 you would make out much better by getting a new one 5 or 5S depending on your contract also.
