Hi guys, planning on getting my 1st Mac. Looking at the 13" rmbp, but can't decide on the spec. I7 or i5, 256gb or 512gb. Will be using it for mainly photoshop, office, internet, video playback and some video editing. I want to keep it for long as price of a Mac is high so won't be changing any sooner. Ps will installing of win 8 on Mac take up a lot of spaces?

Yes if you can afford this setup go for it. always having an SSD is sweet with an i7.

I think you want a minimum of 30GB for a windows partition.
IMO RAM is more important than SSD space. So if money is a concern, go for 16GB of RAM and the smaller SSD. You can always use an external thunderbolt drive.

Video editing will benefit from quad core.

It will be fine on a dual core. Just better with a quad.

Depends on your budget. Video takes up lots of space as you know but external drives are cheaper than internal SSD storage.
