Here's a question that's comes up from time to time. If you get a replacement iPhone will it be new or refurbished. I just got a replacement 4S for my daughter. I was surprised she got a brand new in the box 4S. What's been your experience?

Any warranty related issue, I've always gotten a refurbished device (with Apple). Refurbished is just as good, if not better.

Also FYI Refurbished units IMO go through more strict testing, etc.. So When you get one it's certified with a Apple stamp of approve that it just as new just not new out of the box..

If it's not repaired, it's probably a refurb...but like Yester said, it's pretty much brand new (considering the parts that are replaced when refurbished and the requirements they hold for keeping parts the same).
