Has anyone ever used the Seagate Slim Portable Drive for Mac?

Has anyone ever used the Seagate Slim Portable Drive for Mac? I really wanted an AirPort Time Capsule but the price was a little out of my league. I am having some issues getting the Seagate set up since there are basically no instructions. Can I use this instead of the AirPort for Time Capsule use and just plug it in?

Any insight would be appreciated!

We use an external drive for time machine...works perfectly. Honestly, you just have to setup the drive for time machine...
