ipad keeps reloading 225 old emails since upgrading to ios7

I cannot get my ipad to stop reloading 225 emails - Ive deleted them several times- took
the ipad to the apple store and they suggested deleting that account and reopening which
I did- no help

Did you check out webmail for the service and see if they are showing up there? some emails providers do not delete it off the server until you do

That is true as most servers by default will keep them on for 30 days unless you uncheck the box that says leave on server so when you retrieve your emails they will come off the server. Good advice by phreddyl.
