I'm about to get my first iphone - a 5c. I don't know whether to get 16 or 32. Here's my usage: I use an ipod, so I'd only want to have about 200 songs on the cell. I don't use a lot of apps but will use an exercise app. But I do love to take lots of pictures --- snapshots of friends, family, pets, etc. Recommendation? Thanks.

Go with the biggest you can afford... 32GB model will hold value if you want to resell later...

I would echo the sentiment...go with the 32GB if you can. Same premise as a condom, it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

You're most likely gonna keep it for two years, get as much as you can afford.

I'd rather have too much and not need it, rather than not enough.

Since you said you'll be taking lots of pictures, I'd get the 32GB model.

    Good luck.

I was in the same boat. I was set on the 32GB 5c until I saw a 16GB for 45$! Could not pass that up.

So glad I didn't. I have 773 songs, 60 apps, tons of podcasts and a few iTunes lectures! I don't keep a lot of pictures on my phone though, have about 10.

Have 2GBs left. I can fill the memory if I have 60+ podcasts downloaded.

I agree with everyone's suggestion of going with the 32 if you can afford the purchase. However by your description I think that the 16 is more than ample
I know many who have a 16 and function just fine. There are cloud options to help with storage etc.

I've got a 16GB 5c myself. Had it been my only phone, I'd undoubtedly gone with 32GB instead. I recommend it as there is no easy way to expand storage.

    I vote 32GB.

32 gig. I was constantly running out of space of my 16 gig 4s. The pictures and video can quickly eat up your storage.

About 4GB (?) are taken by software already, so you would have 12 of the 16gb version at your disposal. I've got around 500 pics on my camera roll and they account for 2.5gb. say you store 1000 on average that's 5gb deducted. So you would have 7 left. I'm trying music streaming services atm so I too have only 110 songs on the device, which make up 1.2gb... in your case (~200songs) that's 2gb. That leaves you with 5gb for anything else you ever want to try with your phone. A fun game can be more than 1GB, videos (both downloaded and shot yourself) are usually huge. I really would go for 32gb and rather have some extra space.

I really think a year or two down the road you'll appreciate 32GB more than the extra $100 you spent to get it.

Frk that , I'll buy a new phone every couple years, I had an iphone 4, lasted me 3 years, I was actually waiting until the 6. But the 4 quit working unless you were in speaker talking to someone

There is no technological reason to get a new phone more than every couple years, the difference isn't good enough relatively from one year to the next

I guess I just get bored. I'm working in the cell phone sales industry, that doesn't help my habit. I'm just always wanting to try something new. Got so addicted to that I've owned pretty much every OS available. @_@

Well like everyone else stated, you should probably get a 32GB Model (Only if you can afford it).
Otherwise, 16GB is no less. I have a 16GB iPhone 5 which has 1,322 pictures saved in my photos app. Essential apps also installed like Facebook, whatsApp and other stuff. I still have 1GB left but I don't listen to music on my iPhone. The choice is totally yours and you should get the one which will suit you better. Cheers!
