    Could someone please help? I have a new iPhone 5C, and when I try to sign in for either iMessage or FaceTime, I get a ,sesame unable to activate. I know my AppleID password is correct. I have gone through your forums, tried turning it on/off, etc. to no avail. Very frustrating, as I cannot reach several of my contacts.

    Just to double-check that it's not your Apple ID, you should go to iCloud.com and try to log in. If that all works, check here for some troubleshooting advice: iOS: Troubleshooting FaceTime and iMessage activation

    Also, check to make sure your date and time are set correctly on your phone/iPad. That will cause iMessage to not work.

    Also check with your carrier to make sure that everything is okay on their end with your data plan.

    Worst case, make an appoint at Genius Bar and have them check it out.
