disabling caller id on my iphone5

All the manuals and forums say I can go to settings, phone, and then there should be a selection to "show my caller id" which i can turn off but my phone doesn't have that. I have an iphone5 with ios 6.1.2 through Verizon. Any suggestions?

I could be wrong but I don't think you can turn this feature off from your phone but your carrier might. I would call and ask.

Settings -> phone -> show my caller id

Just make sure your carrier supports that feature.

With Verizon, you have to sign into your account online or call them in order to have your number show as private.

Yeah, iPhones on Verizon don't have the options shown by acerace113.
