    Hello, anyone knows how to erase HD on my MacBook Air 11inch mid-2011?
    Please specify step by step what I'm supposed to do inside Disk Utility App. because I don't know more than point at erase but all is greyed??? and how to fill in something ?

    If you want to completely erase the main hard drive on your machine (delete OS X) then you need to boot into recovery mode first. You can't erase it from within OS X because you are using it at the same time.

    To boot to recovery mode, hold down the Option key while your computer is starting up.

    You also need to make sure you have a boot disk ready to go if you want to ever use the Macbook ever again afterwards...either on USB or DVD.
