iPad mini & iPhone 4 calendar now 4 hours early

I sync my gmail calendar to my ipad mini and iPhone. Last week after an iOS update, my appointments all became 4 hours later than on my gmail calendar. Since then they have all mysteriously become 4 hours earlier. So a 10 am appointment was shown as 2pm and now shows as 6am
Help please!

Go to Settings - General - Date & Time and then verify that the "Time Zone" is correctly set.

Thank you but I have done that on both iPhone and iPad and both show the correct city. Both also show the correct time.
