Help ? black screen non-responsive iPhone 5.

I

iMore Question

My iPhone 5 screen was cracked (just the glass) but otherwise working fine. Last week I noticed the LCD looked damaged, then the phone went into disable mode ? displayed ?Phone is disabled. Connect to iTunes.? I turned the phone off and replaced the screen with a new one from Amazon. At first, the phone was vibrating every 10 seconds (but without a display), but now it just looks dead: black screen, nonresponsive to holding buttons down for 30 seconds in various combinations, computer doesn?t acknowledge it when I plug it in, and Apple phone support says it?s not responding to reset. I have another phone support session with them tomorrow but I?d rather not do a hard reset, since I will lose some information that wasn?t saved in my last backup. Ideas?

Unfortunately a reset seems to be your only option

Assuming you followed the screen install correctly and you didn't damage the phone in anyway. Also you stated problems with your device before the repair could be more damage from the drop that took a while to show itself
