i have an ipad which i brought from a friend that has find my iphone turned on when it was on ios 6. I have restored it after then on ios 6. I have even used another account on it. Does it mean if i upgrade to ios 7, it would ask for own password or my friends password.

If you restored it and put in your info, it should only ask for your password.
