Connecting to wi-fi

I have an Iphone 4S and previously had no problems connecting to a wireless connection, just now my iphone can't detect any connections and I tried with another smartphone, it's not the router or any problems with the wifi so the problem lies with my iphone. please help, thank you.

Try the following:

1. Enable Airplane mode for about 30 seconds and then disable it. Afterwards, try connecting to a Wi-Fi connection.
2. Go to Settings - General - Reset and then select "Reset All Network Settings".

Either of the two *should* correct the problem. If not, let us know and we'll try something else.
