I just got my new iphone 5s and can no longer get text messages on my BT in my 2011 Nissan Maxima. This was never a problem with my HTC. Is there an update that iphone needs to do?

Hello and welcome to iMore ... Unfortunately bluetooth connectivity with iOS and Nissan's platform are known to have problems. There is no update that is needed for your iOS device unfortunately it's in Nissan's hands in regard to whether or not they would like to improve iOS compatibility & functionality. I would suggest reaching out to Nissan to see if they have any workarounds.

All good info and advice given to you and you never know by asking Nissan they might be able to flash their interface to include IOS.

Wow thanks. I thought it was an iOS issue and not Nissan. Figures, my 2014 Altima has a great feature when it comes to sms and I can't use it.

If anyone hears of a way to improve, please let us know. The jailbreak tweak that allows bluetooth to pebble watches didn't help me.
