major iphone 4 headache

hi guys,heres a poser for yous in the know,ive had a second hand i phone 4 for over a yr now,absolutely no problems at all, 2 weeks ago it got 2 splashes of water on screen,i dried it off immediately and it kept working for 10 mins or so,im sure it had 50% battery then it just went off,wont turn back on at all now,so took it to o2 shop,thinking battery or condensation maybe,they said wasnt damp or wet at all,they changed battery but wouldnt investigate further as a screw was missing inside,still wont turn on still,im stumped,any help out there?

First of all, come to grips with the fact that it could be in need of replacement. Having said that, plug the device in and charge it for about an hour. Afterwards, press and hold both the home and power button until you see the Apple logo. If after about 30 seconds, the device still doesn't turn on, assume its toast, in my opinion.
