ipod touch syncing problems

OK...I got a new ipod touch for Xmas...well first my previous version of iTunes wouldn't recognise my new iPod...so I download the newest version of iTunes.

Then the new version of iTunes keeps claiming it's synched with my ipad...but hasn't downloaded any music on to it. What the hell is going on?

Did you turn music syncing on?

It should recognize that that its plugged in though- I would unplug ipod- reboot computer and hard reset your ipod and give it another try-
