In app purchases from abroad

Is there anyway to make inapp purchases from an American account in the UK? I've tried but keep getting an error. Apple say its to do with the T&C's and that I need to be in the US to make in app purchases. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

You'd have to VPN your iDevice to a US Based proxy server.
