ios 7.4 update

Since updating mine and my partners phone to the lateset ios 7.4 we cant access our phones at all. They just display a charger sign and the itunes symbal.
I have connected both to itunes and cant seem to recover either. Has anyone else experienced this if so so any clues ??

Updating your devices should not have put you in recovery mode. Be that as it may, I *assume* the reason you cannot restore is because the "Find My iPhone" feature is enabled. *If* that is indeed the issue then you will have to login to your iCloud account and then wipe the devices from there. Afterwards, you should be able to restore or set them up as new.
