iOS 7.0.4 crashes during download

Hi
My friend's iPad shows and update is available, but it alternates between 1 hour and 2 hours remaining and eventually comes back with an error. What can I do?

Plug it into a computer with the iTunes library that the iPad syncs to... make sure the computer has a stable internet connection... and update via iTunes.
