jailbreaking ipod question

anyone have a link to the best jailbreak for 5.1.1 with instructions?......mine is already jailbroken with 4.something....ipod touch 32 gig, gen 3 i believe cause has no camera

You use absinthe for 5.1.1. Since that is your highest firmware, just restore through iTunes, download absinthe for your computer's operating system and run it. After that, you can restore your info.

is it the same process to go to 5.1 from a lower jailbreak version as one that is unbroken, or is it done different?

I would restore, and set up through iCloud instead of hitting update. Less file corruption that way.

so your saying restore from itunes, then install 5.1.1 official with a downloaded file from a cloud or webspace, then install the 5.1 jailbreak?

Restoring from iTunes installs 5.1.1. No need to download any other version of iOS. Then run absinthe.

Yes. The iTunes backup includes your modified jail broken files. You don't want them in your new is. However, on iOS 4 that is not an option for you, so the best thing would be to start new.
