I'm sorry you're having troubles with your new iPhone 5S, but hopefully, we can get them taken care for you so that you can enjoy your new device.

When you're in the native email app viewing the email message containing the attachment, tap on the curved arrow at the bottom of the screen. Select "Forward". Now select "Include". Enter the name of the recipient and then press "Send" in the upper right corner of the screen.

You may have to go to your email account online to also alter the settings. I'm not sure being that I do not know your email provider.

I would also make sure that the recipient email is correct or valid or some problem on their end.

If your email provider requires you to use POP3, then that may be why the emails are staying on your iPhone. I have this same problem with Time Warner's Road Runner email service. I don't know a way around it on the mobile client side using the native iOS 7 email app.
