Why are my films not syncing?

Hi all, first post!! I've had an iPhone for years but only now seem to be having trouble with it? I have an iPhone 5 at the moment and have updated the phone and itunes but when I go to sync my films iTunes show they are on my iPhone but they aren't?
The films are both bought from iTunes and ones that I have copied to iTunes,I have synced my son iPhone 4 and my ipad and I can move the films to each of these with no trouble..... So what I have done to my iPhone???
