Yes, it will work with Apple TV...though getting to the AirPlay menu is a bit of a hassle compared to newer models (I think you still have to double click for the multitask bar and scroll over a few times to the left to bring it up vs. the more intuitive in app AirPlay options on the newer phones).

I believe the iPhone 4 doesn't support mirroring though.
