Just got a new apple tv but can't figure out how to set up home sharing.

• Open iTunes. (You should try and have the latest)

• Select Home Sharing from where you choose between Music, Movies, and other kinds of media on the left side of iTunes.

• If the Home Sharing icon isn't visible, choose File > Home Sharing > Turn On Home Sharing from the menu bar. (You can disable or enable Home Sharing for your computer using the File menu.)
• Note: After you enable Home Sharing and click Done, Home Sharing is no longer visible until it detects another computer with Home Sharing enabled.

• When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password.

Note: Be sure to use the same Apple ID when enabling Home Sharing on all computers you intend to share with.

• Click Turn On Home Sharing.

• Use the above steps to enable Home Sharing on additional computers on your home network and keep in mind you might need to to enable it on your Apple TV as well.

On the computer with your iTunes library on it - open iTunes... go to File>> Home Sharing -- turn it on... iTunes has to stay running on the computer anytime you want to use HomeSharing.

On the AppleTV go to Settings>> Computers>> and home sharing will be there to work with
