I have an extensive music collection and create my own playlists for the classes I teach.
I want to graduate to creating my own digital music using digital instruments, sampling .etc.
Whihc of the iPad s is best suited for this?

I agree, iPad air is a great creativity device, I would however recommend that you purchase a device with at least 32 Gigs of Ram as samples can take up a bit of memory. Garage Band comes free on the Air and is a fantastic app to get started with, in fact will.iam uses his iPad to lay down his beats and backing tracks as do many other artists.

For the simple fact that the screen real estate is larger for easier access to the instrument controls, I would definitely agree, iPad Air.

The bigger the the better with doing tracks on a iPad. 32gig is cool but if you can go 64 or 128 do it. With laying tracks and having virtual instruments you can never have too much. Def iPad Air.
