    Hi im from the UK and going to New York in 2 weeks and was wanting to buy a couple of iphone handsets as xmas presents.....will they work over in uk ????

    If you buy them full price and therefore unlocked, then definitely yes for 3G service. You need to check your carrier's supported LTE bands against the iPhone you are buying LTE bands to ensure they match.
