iPhone Dock

I have been told the I have a bit of rust in my iphone dock due to liquid damage. I now have no sound to my text messages but do my ring tone and now volume bar on my music. Can I clean the rust off the dock. Lynne

I am sure you could but the dock seems to be such a sensitive area for other parts of the phone. I would seek out a local Apple specialist who repairs Apple Phones and other Apple products and ask them to have a look at it and do the cleaning. That way you also put the responsibility if something goes wrong on someone else.
