Now that Apple has given iWork and apps free to users, anyone think Apple is gearing up to offer a free/paid cloud storage solution?

Not just iCloud Backup, but an actual full blown storage solution like SkyDrive or Google Drive.

Just like the services mentioned above, you can create and edit items through the web interface with the current iCloud. I have a feeling Apple may be offering something in the near future. Not to stay competitive, but because it seems to be the norm.

It's possible, I don't think it will be free.

I don't think it will free either, but I hope they follow MS pricing at about $1 per gig per year. I would be sold, especially if Apple adds their photo editor right into the web interface.
