Tmobile's free 200mb data for life of device is not as sweet as it sounds. Customers are required to get the $20 2.5gb/month plan to qualify for the free 200mb of data. After the first month plan can be reduced to $10/500mb/month plan. This minimum data plan is required until the device is payed off. So don't think you'll be getting a cellular model at low monthly cost with 200mb of data without the $20 or $10 monthly plan included. Anyone else have a different experience today?

Did you actually think a cellular company was handing out good deals? Cell coverage providers are worse than used car salesmen

IMore and idownloadblog guys were just as mislead about this. Listen to latest "Lets talk jailbreak" 35 episode. Jeff was just as frustrated. I would voluntarily signed up for more data after going over the 200mb. Tmobile's website last night had no details about minimum $20 plan to qualify. Tmobile's the underdog is this arena. They need foot traffic. They wouldn't be losing money by giving away a paltry 200mb if the customer likes their service and switches their service over from other carriers. It's just not very "uncarrier-ly"!

I got the 200 MB free with no problems. There is another thread where I posted my steps and screenshot of an email to prove I got it. I did however buy the iPad at full price from Apple and signed up for the 200MB on the iPad.
