    so i have an iphone 4 originally w at&t now unlocked w metro pcs, i want to update to ios7. will it reset my carrier settings if i do??

    If you're ultimately asking if it re-lock your device, no it will not assuming you had your device unlocked officially by AT&T. If there is other network settings you needed to adjust in order to get the device working on Metro PCS than you may need to reconfigure them again if you're not using a back up to restore things.
