    I am attempting to give my child my old iphone 4, she had an i phone 3gs, but when I try to restore the iphone 4 from backup of 3gs it does not come up as an option on itunes. I know the back is there because when I plug up the 3gs that back up is avaiable.

    Reboot all three devices and well as your computer, and then try creating another backup with the iPhone 3GS and then try to restore it to the iPhone 4.
