    Hi all.
I just got my iPad mini yesterday and this is the first Apple product I own.. I really am liking it a lot... Last night I got a notification to update to iOS7, Everything went well. However, I set the alarm clock, but it did not work this morning... I checked the volume level, and also tested with a different sound..
Can you please help? Thank you.

Reboot the device and then set a test alarm to see if it will audibly alert you.

    Hi godsdragon
Is it the stock alarm clock or the alarm clock, have tried a reboot of the tablet.

Make sure to check the side switch.

System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.

True, but the mute switch doesn't prevent the alarm from emitting its audible alert.

Thank you. I looked it up, as I was not sure how to do a reboot on IPad. That did not work. I then did a settings reset. That seems to have fix'd the problem. Thank you!

I did not think to check the mute button. So that could have been the issue, but the settings reset fixed my problem...Mute button is off...

Yes I did. I thought I was responding to each of you individually, but I guess a moderator approval for those is needed... Yes, I did a reboot, that did not work, (I was not sure how to reboot an apple product LOL) , I then found out I can reset settings, so I did that, and that seems to have solved the issue. Thank you all for responding.

I am assuming you mean between a reboot and a settings reset. Rebooting is merely restarting the device. It often fixes minor issues while it is recycling, so to speak. If you selected the "Reset All Settings" option, you reverted all settings to their native state. In other words, any custom setting you may have created have are gone.

That was a question for taz323's comment "Is it the stock alarm clock or the alarm clock," thank you.

Oh okay. Sorry. Anyway, the stock alarm clock is the one that came with the device. Any other would be a 3rd party app downloaded from the App Store.

Sorry for the confusion, besides the clock app on the tablet, which has an alarm clock, there is also and app in the App Store titled alarm clock.

You might want to try another app, Best Clock Radio is one i use regularly, much easier to set and use.
