    how do i stop having to swipe to open my i phone, i have only one arm and it is difficult to swipe open

    The only thing I can think of is buy an iPhone 5s and then you can use your fingerprint the majority of the time. You will have to swipe but not as often.

    Not trying to be rude here, but of you have enough manual dexterity in the one arm and hand to type this message, then I would guess that you should be able to swipe. A lot of people only use their phones one handed anyway so the fact that you only have one arm would be different than someone choosing to use the device one handed.

    If, however, you didn't type this message but instead used voice dictation of some sort and you have motor difficulties with your remaining arm and hand, then the 5S may be a good choice for you.

    Also, investigate the accessibility settings under Settings, General, Accessibility
