Put your device in DFU mode, connect it to iTunes via USB, and then select to restore it.

having a hard time doing that since my power button is very finicky
Well, go to http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750 and download the ipsw file for your device save it to your desktop. Connect your device to your computer, press the shift key and then select restore. When prompted, direct iTunes to the ipsw file you downloaded to your desktop.
