Music library and Apple TV issues

My husband struggles with IT and when he downloaded io7to his 16gb ipad he went into a spin as several apps behaved very differently. The first main problem was with his music library which he had to cut down. Fine, he said, and went ahead on his pc . After syncing however, he has discovered that album contents he has retained are no longer in the correct order. For classical or jazz albums this can be awful. Last night we found that watching iplayer via Apple TV no longer works, playing for only a couple of minutes before cutting out. Bandwidth too small it claims. However, through my own ipad, not yet 'upgraded', it works brilliantly, just as before it used to work with his. What to do? And can he revert to iOS 6 if all else fails?

There is no way to download to iOS 6 unfortunately. The only solution I can think of would be to backup and restore the OS.
