contacts problem on ipad 1

How do you delete an e-mail address on iPad 1 that does not show up in the "Contacts" app,
but appears when creating an e-mail in"Mail"?

I can only assume the email address is cached, and to my knowledge, the only way to get rid of the cached items is to restore your device. My apologies if I misread or misinterpreted your post.

I agree and it could be coming from the server also such as gmail
