Close apps

How do I close apps? I use to be able to double click on the menu button and then hold the app until an X appeared and then close it not it doesn't let me close the apps.

Double tap the home button to bring up "card view"... scroll to the app you want to close... touch its window and flick it upwards... it should fly away... App Closed.

Oh, by the way... you can use two fingers... on on each of two apps and close two at the same time...
