What happened to search ability in iOS 7?

Previously you could swipe to the right from the home screen to get that very first screen which is a universal search. I'm having trouble locating my apps now.

Previously you could swipe to the right from the home screen to get that very first screen which is a universal search. I'm having trouble locating my apps now.

On any home screen, swipe the whole screen down and it appears on the top.
If you swipe down too close from the top, you'll open up notification center instead.
