battery usage icon

Since updating to 7.0.2, my battery usage image flashes momentarily when I turn on the phone, but doesn't remain on when I have no apps open. When apps are open the usage icon is visible. Can I keep the battery icon visible without having app open?

This happened to me until I realized that the very top of my background was black making it invisible. You should try changing your background.
