I actually just realized that Apple stopped making the black stainless steel AW and that you could only get it as the Hermes edition.

I quite like the new Hermes faces in watchOS 8, though; I need complications. If my Apple Watch is only telling the date and time on its face, I’m wearing a traditional watch instead. Hermes or not, my AW is used as a tool to track my health and give me info and capabilities like a phone.

I’m still a watch “traditionalist” and have a “rotation” of my Swiss pieces. So, rarely wear the AW *all day*, but still wear it almost daily at some point when I’m working out!

Yeah getting Space Black was my main reason for ordering it, but I also like the subtle watch faces. They’ve also added a few with complications now.

That’s the main reason I went for the Hermes this time around - the new face with complications on the edges

I just saw a close-up shot of the starlight and it is sort of a champagne color. Not really silver - definitely not white.

I'm hoping the Apple Store line is almost non-existent tomorrow so I can pick up an AWS7. If it's long/busy, I'm just not going to bother.

People don't usually line up for Apple Watches so I think I'll be okay.

Just checked the inventory at all the Apple Stores in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and there isn't a 45mm AWS7 in-stock in the color/band combination I want. I'm okay with waiting until I can find the one I want.

Was hoping to be able to buy the series 7 at my local Apple store…

But they don’t have any in stock yet. So I ordered one and it will take four or five weeks to get here. I didn’t expect it to take that long at this point in time, but oh well. Here is a screenshot of what I am getting:

Canceled my order for the series 7 because it is now in stock at my Apple store! I bought it and will pick it up on Monday morning!! I decided to trade in my stainless steel silver series 6 instead of my Nike series 5.

Original date was Nov 16-23, but my watch delivered a few minutes ago. The only sad thing about it, is I’m out of town & wont be able to admire it until Tuesday
