I think I know the answer to this but wanted to check if any in the community knows a solution. When I setup my replacement Apple Watch I must have messed up somehow and all my old data is gone. I didn’t realize it until this weekend. Any chance of getting it back?

Have you tried un-pairing, re-setting the watch, and re-pairing?

I did not. I’ll give that a shot.

Well that didn’t work. Oh well. Bummed I lost my old data. September would have been my first 100% month.

Can you see your history and awards on your watch? I strongly encourage you to contact Apple Support!

I have all my awards but all my previous months of tracking is gone. Oh well, live and learn. And trying to unpair and repair erased everything from Mid-September when I got my replacement. Sh!t happens.

Well I k ow what I did wrong. When I looked at the “watches” I had linked all the ones that said no longer paired I deleted the data from. I assumed the health, workout info was saved on the phone.

Yep, that would do that. I understand why Apple has them there, and I am kind of glad that the devices are more hidden in the Health app in iOS 13, but I'd love to see a way to merge the ones that are from the same actual watch.

I think it would still be worthwhile to contact Apple Support on the off chance they can restore your data. It might be a long shot, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
