What would happen?

I usually use both an iPhone and an Android phone, but since I got my Apple Watch Series 3 I haven't had an Android. Only my iPhone X. In the past I've just switched sims between the Android and iPhone on the same line. When I get another Android phone what would happen to my Apple Watch's cellular connection if I put the main sim in an Android phone? The AW would still be paired to the iPhone, but my actual phone number would be associated with an Android phone.
