Sport Loop Band - Will it scratch or wear down the finish of the watch?

I have to pull the velcro through the guides every time I put on or take off my watch using the sport loop band. I have the SBSS and was wondering if the band will eventually scratch or wear down the finish of the watch over time?

Just something my OCD was bringing to my attention.

What ya think?

I don't think so. The velcro side is away from the watch body anyway. If anything I would expect it to wear on the lugs of the band itself, but after a couple months of using mine it doesn't look like it is wearing at all.

I have SBSS and I have only been using the sport loop band only, nothing else, for the past 3 months and it has not affected or scratched my finish. My watch doesn't even have a single mark from anything.

I KNOW its different, BUT I'm loving this "Nike like" band I got on Amazon....
