I've had my Apple Watch for a few weeks now, and having been a longtime Fitbit user in the past, I have one thing to say:

The Apple Watch (+activity rings) seems to keep me much more motivated to exercise/workout much more than Fitbit ever did. Putting the focus on standing, exercising and moving really gets me going, in a great way. I haven't missed a workout yet since putting the watch on... and with my Fitbit (the charge hr was my last device) I would miss 2, sometimes 3 workouts a week.

    Anyone else found similar?

Before becoming overwhelmed with work, the answer was easily "yes". Having said that, I haven't worked out in quite some time. Thankfully, I'm still slim.

I was already pretty active, running on average 4 times a week, but from my Garmin (before I got my Apple Watch) I was aware that on my non-running days that my step count was tragically low. Since getting my Apple Watch I've been trying to complete my rings each day. My focus is on my non-running days as I know that the days that I run that I burn plenty of calories and get my exercise target easily. I tried an active calorie target of 600 last week but that was way too high on my non-run days, so I'm trying 400 this week. The number needs to be a challenge but not so way out there that I don't bother.

I too always worked out on a regular basis. The activity rings are good at motivating me to go above my norm to do a bit more. So, yes it does help.

Have also noticed that the activity app suggest changes to your goals as you progress or regress. It suggested I bump my 'move' goal up by 50 steps on Sunday... so I did!
