I just upgraded to the stainless steel Apple Watch, and the contacts button sounds "sticky" or loose. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me. My Apple Watch Sport didn't have this issue.

Nothing like that here. Take it back and get a new one :)

I'm gonna have to exchange it. I'm thinking of exchanging it for the space black this time. Anyone have the space black with scratches?

In all the threads I've read haven't seen any space black with scratches. The SS does get light scratches that can be polished out. Get Cape Cod wipes from amazon.

Not sure this helps, but here's a picture of my space black SS after 15 months of use. There isn't a single scratch on the face or the body.

I have a 1-year-old space black with minor scratches but I'm happy to say the sapphire is perfect! My sport case was perfect but the "glass" was getting beat up.

Anyone have pics of their space black Apple watch after months of use?

Mine after a couple of months. No scratches on body or screen...

Well I ended up ordering both from Sam's club online to compare both colors in person. I really liked the space black SS especially with a black stainless wristband. But yesterday when I was at work doing some minor plumbing in a kitchen, I noticed a tiny nick into the DLC coating next to the screen. Like a spec of dust that wouldn't wipe off. This was something I was worried about and have been researching for last couple weeks. So back it went thanks to Sam's 90 day return policy, they didn't even blink an eye. Looks like Plain SS will occupy my wrist.

I'm always surprised that retailers accept returns of items because customers damaged them outside of the warranty. But that's their prerogative.

As resistant as some coatings are, I consider most, and the AWSS to be 'dress' watches and not work watches. My daily drivers are either the Gold Aluminum (Sport or Series 2) or the Space Gray Sport. They're not really exposed to work hazards. A couple of times I've been aware of lightly knocking them agains something, but there are no dents, dings, or scratches. Not one. I'd never trust DLC or any highly polished surface to that extent.

I'm only somewhat resigned to the Live Happens philosophy, LOL! As most SS bands have a brushed finish, I can touch them up with 0000 and 00000 steel wool. I tend to avoid bands with mixed brushed and polished bands.
